YMD is committed to providing quality youth leader training to help equip and resource youth leaders for local Youth Ministry, in particular Church Youth Ministry. Through training, supporting and mentoring our desire is to equip youth leaders and youth volunteers with the resources to minister effectively to young people in their local setting.

YMD provides training to equip you to teach the Bible effectively to young people, helping you to be confident in your content and creative in your delivery.

YMD offers strategic, tailored youth training and youth ministry support that will help you develop ministry to the young people you serve within your church youth ministry. Whether you are a parish youth volunteer, church youth minister or youth pastor we want to resource and train you to effectively serve young people in your local area.

YMD helps youth leaders and youth volunteers to understand and identify the difference between youth work and youth ministry, helping those who work with teens to make strategic decisions about how best to develop their ministry to teens.

Remember, YMD provides its services free of charge to local churches so that money is never an issue.

Follow-up consultations are also available to discuss the material covered in training sessions, helping you to think through, plan, implement and evaluate your ministry to young people.

Modules

YMD runs carefully planned and tailored training modules to help you understand the purpose of Youth Ministry, to develop a strategy for your Youth Ministry and what that might look like in your local context, including how to engage young people with the Bible at a level accessible to them.

Following consultation with a YMD Advisor we will recommend modules most suited to your situation, which will be tailored to your local context.

Irish Bible Institute

For those with the availability and flexibility YMD recommends participating in the IBI Youth Ministry module. The IBI module runs for a full semester of 13 weeks and is taught by YMD personnel. The IBI module is payable through IBI. Details on www.IBI.ie.
